NOTE: The Iowa Renaissance Festival changed dates in 2006. It is now held in May, and not over Labor Day Weekend as it has in years past (1999-2005). For Labor Day Weekend, visit Iowa's first permanent renaissance theme park (with buildings, not tents) at Festival Park in Des Moines.

Gypsy Nomads - World/Gypsy Music duo (MON) - New York's The Gypsy Nomads play a hybridized version of the gypsy sound laced with a celtic and neo-medieval flavor with both French and English lyrics. The duo features French-born British artist/dancer Samantha Stephenson on vocals, percussion and drums and songwriter, artist and veteran of the punk scene Scott Helland on guitar and drums. Together Samantha and Scott create a compelling onstage chemistry and their show is a lively and animated tribute to the free spirit lifestyle. Described as
    "high octane and exciting" and a must see, their sound is stark yet powerful, sweet yet cheeky and fiery.
